T-6 COMPLETE!

T-6 COMPLETE!

Today, I flew my last flight in the T-6. It was bittersweet, to say the least. I never want to fly that plane again, but it was a fun plane to fly. That might not make any sense, but 88.3 hours of being graded will do that.

Last Friday, I took my final check ride. The last 16 flights are the formation blocks and it's serious stuff. Flying 10 feet away from another jet being flown by a student you know is out of this world crazy. I checked against a student I had only flew with twice before, so it was interesting to see how we both performed under pressure. I got a 12 Excellent and he got a 10 Good. It was probably the best flight I had in the program; I wasn't nervous at all, the weather was perfect, and it was great to have an IP in the back that didn't say anything at all.

The next step is Track Select. That's where everyone in my class is ranked based on their ability and given their follow on jet. The options are: T-38, The Fighter/Bomber trainer T-44, The C-130 platform with the Navy UH-1, The Helicopter trainer with the Army T-1, The Cargo/Transport trainer

I put T-44's first, so we'll see next monday who gets what!
